She has served as key liaison to a variety of prestigious medical professional associations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), National Medical Association (NMA), and National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN). Marie is also the co-founder of Antonia and Grace Motherhood Concierge, which offers a holistic approach to maternal support services. Today, she is here to give us insight from research on a subject that can be obscure, and have devastating effects. The attention is on “Melanated Mamas”; this includes all Black women, femmes, and non-binary persons who identify with Black womanhood. The topic is the Superwoman Schema- authored by Dr. Cheryl Giscombé.
