Today, we have with us Susan Aquayo, CEO and President of Kassy’s Kause; a 501c3 organization dedicated to spreading awareness of perinatal depression that can be experienced during pregnancy. The birth of Kassy’s Kause stemmed from the sudden and tragic, death of Susan’s daughter, Kassandra A. Williams, who died by suicide …related to perinatal depression. 

We focus a lot on postpartum depression, but in this episode, we want to place our attention on the effects of not recognizing and treating perinatal depression and how devastating it can be when not properly diagnosed and left untreated.
